How long have you been in business?
Challenger Sports since 1997 and Challenger Teamwear since 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
Our Sports division's main business is soccer camps and Teamwear's is selling soccer uniforms.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Ron Matsch the principal owner has run numerous businesses here in Johnson County. His largest was when he started 'Discovery Zone' in Overland Park, a company that went on to become a multi-billion dollar business. All Ron's endeavors have been based around putting smiles on kids faces....our present company motto.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Product quality and service.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have 14 other offices spread out across the country in addition to our headquarters here in Lenexa. We also have an office in England and are in negotiations to possibly expand to the Far East.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Take Quivera to West 83rd Terrace and head east. Flint Street is the first road on the left and our building is immediately on the right.
What type of payments do you accept?
All credit cards are accepted, payment by check and by purchase order (once credit terms have been established).
Which areas do you service?
We provide services and products throughout the United States.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The original founders of the business still run daily operations; Ron Matsch, Peter Arch, Alan Jones, Derek Shoare and Paul Lawrence.
What are your hours of operation?
8.30am to 5pm.
