What is your primary product or service?
Web marketing services for small business primarily in the local search space. Search Engine Optimization, Directory Listings, Online Reputation Management and Video for the web.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I owned an espresso place and decided that a website would be a good thing to have. In 1996 I hired a person to make it for me, and before she could finish, I change a lot of the information I had originally give her. Then, after it was up and running, I wanted to change it a couple of times a month, so I learned what I could and started to make the changes myself. One thing led to another and by 2003 I decided to become certified and do this as a business. I enjoy meeting small business owners and sharing my experience to help them get the most from their web.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
When I started, I choose to work with folks in small business, with a budget of no more than $2000 for their web expense. This keeps me apart from the larger companies who employ a lot of people who specialize in the various areas that come into play when building a site. By doing business this way, I cut out a lot of the overhead that those larger companies have and I can give a lot of value for my customer's dollar. Now I've changed the business to serve as an outsourced resource to other Marketing firms and web development companies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work from one location, but I have over 10 agencies from all over the country sending me work.
Provide detailed directions to your location
I am in Olathe, and rarely do business outside my office, but I work with clients all over the country every day over the phone and with screen-share technology.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept the major credit cards, checks, money orders and cash.
Which areas do you service?
KC metro area directly, and via agency partners, we're nation wide.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am a sole proprietor.
What are your hours of operation?
I generally work regular business hours, but I'm available by phone in the evenings and weekends.
