How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I'm the author of a best-selling tai chi book, "The Complete Idiot's Guide to T'ai Chi & Qigong" and presenter in the acclaimed DVD "Anthology of Tai Chi & Qigong: The Prescription for the Future."
I've studied and taught Tai Chi and Qigong for 30 years, doing presentations all over the world.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I was the 2009 Inductee to the Internal Arts Hall of Fame in New York, and have received top honors from the World Congress on Qigong; the National Qigong Association; and the National Tai Chi Chuan Federation.
I've been a Tai Chi source for The New York Times; Wall Street Journal; Reader's Digest; and media worldwide, and was commissioned by Prevention Magazine to create their Tai Chi tutorial.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We teach through several metro-area city governments, KU Medical Center, Unity Village, and the University of Kansas Hospital.
