How long have you been in business?
I have been in business since 1990 having moved from California. If you want to hear more of the miracle story, feel free to call me!
What is your primary product or service?
Marital restoration from a Biblical perspective is my specialty. I also deal with individuals who are dealing with depression and anxiety.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I learned about marriage counseling my senior year in high school. My father, a patent attorney, had been offered to work on a divorce case. Intrigued,I decided to write a paper on the subject of divorce. I soon learned about marriage and family counseling. I decided that was what I wanted to do with my life. I enrolled at Oral Roberts University. My very first class was with a marriage and family therapist as the professor! It was just what I needed to ignite my passion to stop divorces and restore marriages. I received my Masters at Azusa Pacific University and Phillips University in California. I then worked at a Christian counseling center where I had the opportunity to work with other professionals as their co-therapist and learn to integrate Biblical principles into my sessions. What a blessing! I was licensed in California and then moved to Kansas City where I started a private practice. I currently hold a license as a Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I love to provide personal, detailed counseling to those who are feeling hopeless in their struggling relationships. I have a whole "toolbox" full of ways to restore broken marriages, relieve depression and anxiety. My favorite thing to do is pass down these tools to others so they can feel satisfied and full. When people complete their work with me, they have a better understanding of God's personal involvement in their lives and they feel closer to others. Couples feel loving feelings again. There is more laughter and more smiles. Trust is restored.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I am located on 95th St. and Metcalf in Overland Park, Ks. It is a great location, just north of Home Depot in an office building near Jack Stack BBQ and First Watch.

From I 435: Exit Metcalf and head north to 97th street. Turn left and make an immediate right into the home depot complex. Drive straight to the stop sign. Turn left. You will see a 6-story office building and a 2-story offshoot on your right. Park near Yin eye care/ Matchmaker. From I-35/69 highway: take 95th street exit and head east. Pass Antioch and Lowell. The next light is Foster/Riley (McDonald's is on your left and a gas station is on your right). Turn right. Turn left at the second entrance to the Office Depot complex. Go over 2 speed bumps, turn left and park your car! From Metcalf driving south: Pass 95th street. Turn right just after 95th. You will see the 6-story/2-story offshoot on your right. Turn towards that building and park your car on the south side of the building near Yin Eye Care/ The Matchmaker.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, checks and credit/debit cards.
Which areas do you service?
My office is in the Overland Park area. Other cities nearby are Olathe, Leawood, Lenexa, Shawnee Mission, Prairie Village, etc. I have a number of clients who are coming as far as 2 hours away. It is really up to the client if he/she wants to come from some distance.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am the sole owner of the business. I personally take your calls, set up appointments, and provide good counsel to all who come.
What are your hours of operation?
I work evenings Monday-Thursday starting at 5pm I also have some day time hours.
